Just curious, though: what is aa.com showing you when you go to actually select a seat, rather than simply use the seat view function? I would expect that to be accurate, and would also expect that to match expertflyer.
Also, what the agent told you makes no sense at all. There clearly is a glitch where seat view is showing you the wrong flight. But normally I would expect it to be entirely accurate.
