Friends don't let friends book on OTAs...

Did it twice with Expedia...they are "one of the better ones"... as the fare difference was more than $1000CAD. Paid J, both times had flight changes that caused issues and many many hours on the phone. One case I had to arrive early and spend an extra night hotel at my expense and the other could not break a 9 hours layover after a schedule change despite me sending them the proof of rules for TAs that would allow me a schedule change without penalty. The answer was always "pay the difference or cancel for refund".
