Holding departures due to late inbound connections.

I have a flight booked in September LHR - DOH - BKK, with BA on the first leg and QR the second. Given there is no direct BA flights from LHR - BKK, I assume that BA127 / 123 connecting to QR 834 / 836 is quite popular.

BA 127 and 123 have recently been suffering delayed arrivals, in part due to the decision to route BA flights to the west of Israel. In theory I have 80 minutes for the connection, but based on the last 7 days flight info I would probably have missed the connection 4 times.

Does anyone know if QR have a policy regarding delaying departures if there are a significant number of pax on a delayed inbound? What is the minimum amount of time needed from the BA flight touching down to still be able to make the connection?
