As I am sure you can imagine, this is going to be a whistle stop visit compared to all the others so far today. The Galleries Club Lounge is to the right once you enter into the twilight zone reception.
This lounge is significantly busier than any other I have visited before. The lounge is almost one large open space. When you first enter the lounge the buffet is to your left. After the buffet is a large open space with the coffee station at one end and the Prosecco/wine bar at the other.
On the right is the children’s play area which smells a lot better than the one in the first lounge.
At the far end of the lounge is another large open area with the self pour bar to the far right.
If it all looks very familiar it is because it is. 90% or more of the design, food, and beverage are identical between the club and first lounges.
The bar did feature a display for Pimms, and the Singleton was nowhere to be seen.
The buffet was quite a bit different, jumbo fish fingers (with rice?), and a nacho bar stood out as well.
Prosecco is available to free pour from the bar pictured earlier however champagne is available on request. This is Heidseick Monopole and served in the same thimbles on a stick as are used in flight for Club Europe
A few nachos to comply with my self imposed rules of food/drink/photos. I will say that the salsa had a decent kick to it and with the addition of a few jalapeños this gave a real mouth buzz from the nachos.
This is a perfectly adequate lounge to while away some time, but given the choice, I’d be in Cathay Pacific… Shhhh, don’t tell everyone
