Back in January, I disembarked through the 1L door. We pulled up to Stand 64 and looking at the picture I took of the aircraft after disembarking, the jetways were connected to both 1L and 2L. You should be fine in terms of getting through border control. As CWS said, there are several kiosks and the wait times are never long (max 5 minutes) which is why I enjoy having YVR over YYZ as my first port of entry all the time.

Unfortunately, the carousel takes an awful lot of time to open up (or that was just a one time thing for me). I remember dashing swiftly through the kiosks but waited for around 10-15 minutes before the first bags started rolling out.
