Stop 7. British Airways First Dining

The first dining room is at the far end of the lounge with the entrance between the buffet and the bar. To access First Dining you need an invitation that is issued when entering the first lounge. Unlike the lounge, first dining is only offered to those passengers travelling in first class, or those BA executive club members with Gold Guest List status or above.

The first dining room has ten tables that can seat two people each, and eight viewing chairs arrayed at the windows around the edge of the room.

The viewing seats offer a good spectator spot for the nearby gates and the runway

The dining room is table service only and there is a good range of wines and spirits similar to the Concorde Room, although I have noticed that the T3 dining room often does not have any stock of the specials or guest bottles

Todays Menu and drinks list

Strangely I’m not that hungry right now . I’ve chosen the smoked salmon accompanied by the Pommery Louise champagne and a taste of the Zacapa Centenario 23 rum. Having never really enjoyed rum, I’m finding a new appreciation for these aged rums, a very nice drop indeed.

Update:

A half serving of Sorbet (a full serving gives me brain freeze!), an Americano, an a JW blue label to finish off this visit

I have been the only person in the dining room for the entirety of my visit and the server has been brilliant, golden ticket time.
