I can see some issues myself here, especially when talking about Greek ID cards or the old Italian ones . It might help that ID cards are also listed in timatic. I'd say it also very much depends on where you check in at board. Probably major confusion and problems galore in let's say India or Australia, zero to few issues in IST, BEG or TUN.
