While the former is a much larger (and probably much nicer) Suite, I think the FS will suffice given it's good enough, far less expensive and actually bookable for one night.
Yes, I don't understand the 2 night minimum, however it has been in force for as long as I can remember.

You can, however, still use Price Stay/Pay offers. The Rooftop Suite remains one of our most special stays shortly after Covid. The balcony is incredible and there is nothing like being right on the Harbour. There is no comparison to any of the FS rooms of these suites, especially when Level 4 is solely for the premium suites.

I wouldn't recommend the Cove Suite.

TBH, I have stayed in Opera Deluxe many times and despite being a studio, they are still outstanding. If you want a memorable Sydney experience, I would recommend it and happy to give you my specific room assignment requests via DM. There is one that has a view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.

It’s a good city hotel. I wouldn’t mind staying again, although might try the capella next time.
This was my quote. All of the common areas of the FS remain stuck in the 1980s Regent Hotel that it used to be. The pool are is particularly hideous on L3.
