It sounds like you're saying that you see ALL 75 of the people ahead of the wing waiting at your exact same queuing points. You should know better. Just because you see some of "these same people" in line at the spots you're in line doesn't mean you're seeing ALL of the people ahead of the wing.

And of course, some people prefer the front of the plane because they may feel less airsick or subject to turbulence or less subject to claustrophobia ahead of the wing. <shrugs> Not to mention, for some it's just a matter of exiting the tube into open space.
