On a Sunday (1/5), I am flying from Munich to the west coast on Lufthansa (or United). Do I have a better chance of clearing from economy to business through SFO on a 350 or LAX on a 380. Or United’s SFO flight?

I left out United since I’ve never failed an LH upgrade and those typically easier to come by. But traveling in party of 3 this time, but I’ve also never flown United from MUC so not sure how hard/easy those upgrades are. Thanks for any insight.
