Oh how interesting. If I join the pearl lounge will this affect my ability to credit the miles to a different airline? If not then I am happy to try to manage my booking by making an account!

I had a look at alternative flights and sadly it is this or nothing in terms of time, as much as I would have loved a half day or so in CAN. With 4 hours of a layover now, I will have a look to see if there is a temple or just something that I could show my mum 10-15 min away from the airport so we can be away for an hour tops and then go back to the airport...
