While past actions in no way suggest future performance, I had about 1500 redeemable Virgin miles for signing up for their newsletters and they somehow turned into 12,500 Alaska miles in the course of some sort of ‘see we’re the good folks’ bonus for converting into the Alaska program by a certain date.
Not sure they’ll be as generous again but I also don’t see them as likely to screw people converting Hawaiian miles into the Alaska program either.
