I'd noted down the pricing to HND as I'm planing a trip for 2025, and will need to book at T-355. The screenshot attached shows the current price options for random off peak dates which had availability.

The 'full' RFS option used to be 200k + £550, so as noted upthread, this reflects a £25 extra cost for the return. But the 3rd option (which was the best value for avios already, so was what I was planning on using) used to be 150k + £770, so that is £45 less. I didn't note down the old prices for the other options, so can't compare those.

So while the maximum avios option has got worse, the best value option has got better for long haul CW. This makes spending the extra 50k avios even worse value than it was already, it used to be that you'd be spending an extra 50k to save £220, now you'd be spending the same avios and only saving £150 compared to the 3rd price option.
Standard off-peak in Club LHR-HND-LHR should be 150k avios + £622.69 taxes; with the RFS you pay 200k avios and £575. So you pay 50k avios to "save" £47.69 of taxes.
Standard off-peak in First LHR-HND-LHR would be 204k avios + £622.69 taxes, if you can find availability (or have GUF/joker).

RFS is nothing more but hidden devaluation.
