You can't guarantee the GuestSeat upgrade is available, and the only way to do the upgrade is via the phone. In my experience, Etihad don't follow the miles calculator and will just say it is a guide and the real value will be different.

Also don't forget, GuestSeats are not eligible for upgrade, if you buy a Business GuestSeat you can't upgrade it.
