About 10min later another officer came to open the counter and processed P2 who politely said was sent there there from the MPC lane officer but the processing officer didn't engage just proceeded to do the photo & fingerprint taking, was asked for purpose of visit and where they be staying. Sounds like MPC wasn't working...? Any recent JFK T8 experiences from others?

MPC at PHL worked great, no queue, no questions.
Came back thru T8 a couple of Saturdays ago, customs hall was completely full at 9PM. Had to squeeze through the regular line to get to the (empty) MPC line, signage was not very visible due to the crowds. Same officer was processing the global entry pax, so had to wait for maybe 4-5 people to clear ahead of me. Only got the usual "anything to declare" and was landside in less than 10 minutes after getting off the plane.
