Finally used the new T1. Arriving it was quite the walk to baggage claim and then back up to departures for an Uber. Speaking of baggage claim, they were doing maintenance so all AS bags came out on carousel 10 at the very end.

Departing Monday evening, only three check-in agents for the entire section were working, including only one for first class. With one party at the counter and another person ahead of us in line it still took over 10 minutes. Not sure if the agent was new but he surely wasn't in the best mood. My brother even said "that was weird" after we left. Security including PreCheck was on the first floor, and I appreciate that the new The Club is right around the corner. Fake TSA caught two protein shakes (a.k.a. weapons of mass destruction) in my brother's bag but at least they were nice about it. One of the gate agents was a real ..... and told me to "go talk to the other girl" when I asked a question.

Overall I don't mind the terminal, though I miss T2. I hope the SFO staff are just going through a phase. They used to be so friendly.
