What is the difference between the normal „Alila Diwa Goa“ and „The Diwa Club by Alila“? Does it make sense to pay the premium to stay in the club?
The main difference is the rooms with Diwa Club amenities being secondary. The entry level accommodations at Diwa Club are smaller than the suites at the Alila Goa and larger than any of the nonsuites.

Diwa Club amenities include breakfast buffet at Vivo between 7-10am OR a single ala carte sitting at Bistro between 7am-7pm. They also offer chai paani between 4-5pm and sundowners between 6-7pm, both at Bistro.

There’s significantly less traffic at Diwa Club as the only venues are Bistro and the Diwa Club pool. Besides that and the dedicated reception, everything else such as the spa, gym, main pool, event space, restaurants, kids club, etc. are on the Alila Goa side. Alila Goa is both more practical and aesthetically appealing excluding rooms.

Whether it’s worth it depends on different factors including the premium charged, but on a base room to base room comparison, my personal recommendation is Diwa Club. A single category upgrade at Diwa Club will also land you in a suite whereas there’s several levels between the base room and a suite at Alila Goa. The ground floor rooms at Diwa Club surprisingly do not have direct pool access.

Just a side note. If a beach is important to you, both properties are not for you. There’s a complimentary shuttle to hotel’s beach, but the beach itself is not appealing.
