I have checked in before 11 at hotels and unless there was no room available or not room had checked out by then it was never an issue. Including Zurich
We had a morning arrival at the Marriott Zurich a few years back, and they let us use the club lounge (as a then-PLT) on the ground floor till our room was ready, no problem.
Like the OP, we also have a 5am arrival (HND) coming up, so I booked the night before on points and emailed the hotel to please pre-register us for our early morning arrival. Got a written confirmation back, so I believe I’m all set. However, I do plan on doing mobile checkin with my planned morning arrival time selected, and get reconfirmed via chat.
