I've only ever flown WY on the DXB-MCT route - flight time less than 1h. This year flew in J both ways (cash) - thought the experience at Muscat airport made a big difference as I had to check in early; the airport is great and I like WY's business lounge.

Just booked a family member a cash ticket in J on WY (both flights on 737-800/Max8). J ticket was around 2.5x Y. I think it makes a difference if some rest is needed on the flight and some value is assigned to lounge access.

I am curious re how domestic flights work in Oman in terms of lounge access. At SLL airport, the lounge must be this one: Salalah Lounge : Oman Air

If you can afford to use the extra miles, I would book J just out of curiosity - the experience on WY should be as good as it gets with these types of short flights.
