I think it’s a function of UA deciding all ORD-based WBs be 787s (even tho LHR gets the 767 rotated in from somewhere.) And I believe there have been 787 route expansions out of Chicago to BCN, GRU, TLV, you name it. That’s quite a few Dreamliner routes to Europe, Asia, Hawaii, South America, plus it seems like ORD-SFO needs several Dreamliners on certain days. I can see why it’s creating 787 scarcity in other hubs.
