Hey guys,

I have tons of United Future Travel Credit, which I can only use on United.com. Since I live in AMS, I am basically limited to UA-metal, or Star Alliance-partners. Which is fine.

I am planning a JAN25 trip AMS-ZRH-MIA in Business. ZRH is a great transfer airport, Swiss is a good airline and connections and flight times are convenient. So far, so good.

Now, my first world problem kicks in

For the return, I prefer to book MIA-ZRH-AMS. Problem: no availability on United.com. When I try to book Award Tickets on United.com, I am able to book Economy, but no Business. If I check Swiss.com: full availability.

My alternative now is MIA-FRA-AMS. A bit of an outdated 2-2 config on LH, but the upper deck on the B748 softens the pain

Already called with UA, but they say that what you see on United.com, is what you get.

I know you can't magician LX-flights, but I am just curious to find out WHY the return flight on LX-metal won't work.
