Has anyone stayed at Villa Treville near Positano? The prices are 2X+ that of ISP and I find that intriguing. It's location, views, gardens and number of rooms all look impressive, but the room hard product itself as well as it's public facilities don't seem fitting of the price point. That said, the "style" of rooms along the Amalfi Coast is always a bit of an acquired taste. I would love any feedback on the experience if anyone has been!
I have stayed there twice (before all the rates in Italy doubled and tripled) and it’s a gorgeous place indeed, with direct access to the sea. It’s owned by an American uranium-mining billionaire, and my impression was that its purpose is more that of a private guesthouse, which is only operating as a hotel for tax or legal reasons.
