Unlike hoping for a glitches that result in access to Polaris lounges, I think this has a slim shot at working. I've certainly had some agents that would let me changes flights due to aircraft swaps. Or, you may luck out with a schedule change that permits you to make a change. Just don't opt to route through Denver, or you'll find yourself in a United Club - without so much as a complimentary drink chit to drown your sorrows.
Drifting off topic, but when I was thru DEN in Polaris last month, I asked at the bar about complimentary premium drinks for Polaris. Bartender didn't know for sure, so provided me with a couple of "premium" beers at no cost. Probably a rouge staff, but guess it doesn't hurt to ask at the bar.
