You considering the currywurst at the Lindner Kudamm a positive is like me (as a German) claiming "if you want a solid American breakfast, just book any American airport Holiday Inn Express and get some scrambled eggs, sausages, and hash browns during breakfast." Or: "Wanna taste the real American burger? Head straight to McD!"

If you want a (at least, somewhat) decent currywurst near the Lindner Kudamm, just exit the hotel and walk for five minutes (to Curry Wolf or Curry 36).

I find the Lindner has a particularly poor breakfast. IMO, the breakfast buffet is not a reason to pick this Hotel. Instead, it is a reason to avoid this hotel.
Well, if we're really going to discuss currywurst further, I did say that the hotel's version "wasn't the best" and said folks could get better wurst elsewhere (like at the nearby train station). But this hotel is TRYING to provide local flavors -- something that 95% of USA hotels don't do {even a lot of 4 and 5 star USA hotels). And if you think this hotel's breakfast buffet is "particularly poor," have you EVER had a breakfast buffet in a USA hotel? The Linder's buffet is better than many Hyatt Regency's, and would whomp ANY hotel breakfast at the Linder's price point in Anerica. It's only "poor" if you're expecting a 5-star hotel breakfast.
