I wouldn't go that far on the useless part. A one category AMB upgrade at an IC could be a higher floor, better view or such stuff that at times is rather underwhelming with regards to real value offered there. Even a Jr. Suite should at least offer a bigger space, maybe a bath tub + shower versus shower only or such things. Could be worth it, all depends on a case by case basis I reckon.
