I have never and will probably never do the TBIT arrival level TSA, but the appealing thing is after inspection you take the elevator directly to above-gate level (5), followed by a climate controlled, flat pathway through TBIT, and then down an obvious escalator one level to enter T3. No need to find escalators/elevators twice. My UA app says it's a 22-min walk from exiting the TBIT elevator to Gate 11A or 12B.
