I suspect the answer will be no, but we don't really have any priors on this question. You'd need a memo/bulletin going out to agents positively advising that long-haul itineraries to/from/via ORD are eligible for a change fee and/or add/collect waiver, and I'm just not convinced that UA would be this generous over a lounge closure.

If not, you'd be relying on agent and supervisor discretion, which is basically a nonstarter. They don't know and could care less about what happens with one lounge and the impact on passengers.

Furthermore, even if there was such a waiver, you'd almost certainly need PZ on your desired new routing to stay in J.
