It could well be one expedia booking but two tickets/PNR. That is not uncommon.

You don't say where in India, but if it is an Indian destination flown by QR, it is certainly 2 tickets.
Otherwise QR and Oman have an extensive partnership. If QR does not fly there, it could be one ticket. But it should be offered by QR too.
