I live very near City in the flight path and even allowing for the fact that I am an avgeek I find the airplane noise less intrusive than road traffic and the DLR.

However, with the existing infrastructure LCY seems to be more or less at capacity- I certainly don't think it can comfortably handle many more, so if this "expansion" does not also involve some expansion of security, immigration and waiting areas, then I can see it becoming less and less attractive to use.
