I was worried about staying here given the bad reviews both on here and on the Hyatt website but I just checked in and find the hotel reasonably charming for what it is. One JetBlue employee told me I would be reimbursed up to $250 for lodging due to my flight cancellation and a King Bronze room came out to $250.xx. I wanted the brand explorer night so why not? As a Globalist we got a Suite upgrade. The room smells a little smoky/stale which I don't love but, again, this is $250 (hopefully of someone else's money) and a great location for tourist things. I like the decor and style choices in the hotel and the staff has been excellent so far. Given the cash price I am not sure how they get away charging 25k points here and I assume the points price might be what leads to the bad reviews as you'd certainly prefer the $500/nt Thompson options. That said, I am glad I good way to check this brand off my list and I would certainly consider staying at other Dream Hotels if they offered better value for the points.
