I don’t know, it was just speculation that Finnair might have some rights in the process, just like BA could have licensed their old Club World design to others (thank god they didn’t!) and Virgin licensed their herringbone UC seat to Air New Zealand. Without either airline being the manufacturer, of course.

It’s probably more likely that Finnair, possibly due to its government stake, is simply braver than other airlines. There is a lot of group think these days with J seats.
