I am assuming refunds to original form of payment hold true even if the cancellation is by United? Recently had a cancelled flight where the alternative rebooking was 7 hours later so we opted to cancel for a refund. The refund was thn processed to FFC (originally used to partially pay for the tickets) but with the original expiration date, which to me seems a bit unfair. Do others also understand this to be United's policy?
