What about us in Scandinavia? As LTP I earned my LT status through staying at Marriotts. We have no CC and somehow we are rarely targeted by Marriott for promo. However, the only time I have seen busy lounges was when I was in Asia and Sheraton Wall Centre in Vancouver BC (the design of the lounge at the hotel is not catered for many people). Even with these busy lounges we were able to find a seat after 5 minutes of waiting or so.

We had to sat on the floor to eat at the OWS lounge at DOH and LH SEN lounge at IAD because it was filled with people.
