Back in the days of the 747 the penultimate row (also a twin from memoery) was my go to Y seat as it had a bit of extra legroom at the window seat where the fuselage tapered at the back. I'm not sure if the same applies to the 777, but having a twin row is definitely a worthy trade off against speed of deplaning, unless of course you have a tight connection.
