This can't be right. Otherwise, it would prevent your wife travelling altogether if you were for some reason unable to reach the airport or unable to travel at all. And that would make no sense if there were no familial connection between you (eg one booking made for several colleagues originally intending to travel to the same event).

However, I'd caution against referring to her too often as your "Silver wife". And more seriously, she would obviously have to be able to answer the necessary security questions truthfully.
