The timeline seems to be the issue - I can get my progressive high index lens with all the coatings in the world in an hour at Lenscrafters, but the quality is near junk, turning my head will be like a Disney ride. I can't seem to find any labs or shops in Tokyo that carry Varilux XR lenses, or can do them same-day.

I think Masunaga, 999.9, etc can send the frames out for lenses, so that can work for those with time - but for me needing it same day with a brand name lens, I think I'll need to wait until I get back. I didn't find any dedicated optical labs when I searched online, or at least any who carry Essilor, Zeiss, etc.
