This is more of a criticism of the English language, but I wish there was no ambiguity between “a salad with pieces of grilled chicken atop” and “mayonnaise tossed chicken”.
"Salad with grilled chicken" would be clear. Many restaurants offer, for example, a Caesar salad to which chicken or beef can be added.
