I wish that leg was on United but that would have been 70k miles each way vs. the 44k we're using.

So, any thoughts on the cost and ease of upgrading the partner legs of these United partner flights on LOT or Austrian?
The upgrade policies between USA and non USA is vastly different.
With non USA airlines always expect to fly in the seat you purchase. Especially with no or low status.
Upgrade tends to mean higher class. Not an economy seat with more legroom. Not all airlines have economy seats with more legroom, other than exit rows. The class Premium Economy is not Economy plus/MCE.
