I'm GHA Titanium, don't really use it that much but thought I'd share a couple of recent stays that were really good.

In June I was at NH Collection Roma Palazzo Cinquecento in Rome. Had a basic room (I think) booked, since it was just for 1 night and was leaving early for a flight. Checkin was great, they upgraded me all the way to a top tier suite, which isn't anything too fancy being an NH property, but nonethless it was appreciated, not only being a double upgrade expected but then some. No "local gift" but I really wasn't bothered, just a data point for sake of veracity. Very pleasant stay, made more so by my GHA status.

Then last month I was in Singapore and stayed at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay.
Had a Lifestyle level room booked for 5 nights, hoping to score an upgrade to a Collection room, which I did indeed receive.
Arrived on a super early flight at 07:30, arrived at the hotel at 9am expecting just to dump my luggage, but they checked me straight in, room available, double upgrade to Collection Room, was asleep by 10am! Fantastic property and great benefit from Titanium status. I was "expecting" the dbl upgrade to Collection, but didn't think it'd include all the benefits like the Executive Lounge access that comes when you book a Collection room, but they gave me the whole lot which was brill, the lounge location is really nice so enjoyed that a lot.
There was a standard welcome basket in the room that comes with all Collection rooms, then next day a "local welcome gift' also appeared in the room, a very nice platter of local fruits and nut selection, very nice touch.

Back over in Singers next month and thinking about trying Capitol Kempinski, on paper supposed to be a nicer property, but worried to now in case they don't live up to the same service that ParkRoyal Collection gave me!
