Overnight
  • #2867
    • Depart: Honolulu (Oahu), HI (HNL)3:15 PM
    • Arrive: Oakland, CA (OAK)11:25 PM
    1st stop, change planes 6h 55m layover
  • #1011
    • Depart: Oakland, CA (OAK)6:20 AM
    • Arrive: Baltimore/Washington, MD (BWI)2:30 PM

The "Overnight" text says this:
With an overnight connection, you can expect a layover in a connecting city between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. local time. You will have to lay over at the connecting airport during those hours before continuing your journey.
During this time, you will not be able to retrieve your checked bags, so we recommend you keep any needed medication and other necessities in a carryon bag or personal item. Customers are responsible for their carryon and personal items while at the airport overnight as we do not store luggage at any of our airports
What Southwest doesnt reveal, is the important small details, such as Terminal hours, TSA hours, concession hours, etc. OAK is indeed open 24 hours BUT overnight passengers need to stay in the PRE-SECURITY areas.

Southwest Airlines overnight disclosures

Expecting passengers to be kicked out of terminal areas is a major dis-service to the flying public. What other Southwest’s overnight cities should they be providing additional warnings? MDW?
