As an aside; I had only 24 hours to report it to my travel insurance company - who have already approved the claim - but the lady I spoke with was understanding when I mentioned hold off paying out as I will exhaust all opportunities tomorrow to get it.
I’ll be riding my 50cc two stroke Vespa in from Reading so will need to avoid motorways… but that’s another story! I will update when at T5.

The lost property office in T5 is at the domestic arrivals end, near M&S. walk as far forward as possible to the glass windows/doors, and then walk right to the end wall . It’s a very obscure little door, a bit like the entrance to Narnia, or Harry Potter’s cupboard under the stairs 😉 Go at a normal-ish time. Think they shut at 4-ish.
