I got the 30.000 miles offer and turned it down. I told them I want compensation according to EU261 and they now offer a voucher with a cash option for 600 Euro but the process seems tedious. They say I have to contact one of their offices. Moreover they ignore that my wife traveled with me. I certified that I have the right to claim her compensation but they continue to ignore this.
How was the process in your case? Did you have to exchange a voucher for the cash or did they pay directly to your account/credit card? And did you need separate claims for each person?
I am inclined to repeat my request for direct paymemt for me AND my wife and set them a payment target after which I will pass the case to a lawyer.
