I must say I think the new seats/cabin look very smart and look forward to trying it soon!

One thought I did have though is on the antimacassars. I can see why BA got rid of them - I guess they stem from a time of fabric chairs and where 'damage' would be more noticeable - and they also feel a bit 'antiquated'. That being said I also have a bizarre attachment to them! Then I thought - why do I like them and why do we all like them?

It can't be from the "function" point of view (as I guess with leather seats it's redundant) so is it mainly for appearance and that it adds another "element" to the CE cabin? It does make it feel different and more premium. But if there are no velcro strips etc. on the new seats, and they're relying on gravity, this will also cause problems! So I suppose the question is what about some kind of "premium" head rest? Which would be indicative of CE, also potentially allow for more padding and also some kind of "Club Europe" text embodied or similar?

Much like the antimacassars, easy to swap and move around as it's only. head rest?

Of course I have absolutely no idea if it's possible/practical or even a good idea! But it just suddenly popped into my head and thought I might as well right it down...!

(I appreciate this would of course cause inconsistencies with other CE products!)
