I assume based on this and previous comments that this is Asia to US itinerary and AAA-BBB, BBB-CCC, EEE-BBB are operated by JAL and EEE-BBB was not available initially when married to BBB onward? This is what I call a divorced segment (restricted to be unmarried but available as standalone). If I understand correctly you are not breaking a marriage you are breaking a divorce. Good to know this works online but it does not provide information as to whether the other half of the problem works online (breaking married segments). It would be good to get some data points on whether breaking married segments online works too.
