No doubt it depends on time of day. Kind of pathetic though compared with the Int Terminal and T3 United where I rarely have to wait until I get past the TSA contractor.
In my experience the times in the signs in T1 are usually wrong for pre. When it says pre is 4 minutes it usually takes 10-15 for me due to how badly the lines are managed (usually just one lane for pre open) plus how slow the new machines are. It’s more accurate for regular security.
