I expect they would let you in. But I find it interesting you can claim all London hotels are finicky about their check in time. I was in the virgin lounge on my last flight to London taking a shower when Marriott let me know my room was ready - that was about 9 AM.
The entire situation depends on the hotel and how full they were the night prior. Check out time is generally 11:00 AM or Noon. It takes time to clean the rooms and get them back ready for guests. If the hotel was not full the night before, they are more likely to allow you to check in earlier than the normal check in time of 3:00 PM or 4:00 PM.
