How can I prove FFCs expired for insurance claim?

I searched and couldn't find the specific answer to this.

I cancelled a flight due to medical reasons and received FFCs expiring on the anniversary of the original ticketing... just a few weeks out and it won't be possible to start travel before they expire due to my expected recovery time.

Fortunately, this cancellation is covered by insurance, and they will reimburse me when I can document the FFCs have expired unused. Now wondering how I prove they've weren't used before they expired. Will the expired FFC show up under my account? Or is there some other positive indication I can obtain of their lapse?

Thanks.
