It would be as if AA accused you (assuming you are a man) of having sex with another man on the plane. You would say "LOL , that's ridiculous, I'm not gay".
The article is terrible. Way too long and confusing. To quote one part:

sexual orientation isn’t an alibi. So is she saying she wasn’t even on the flight where the alleged incident occurred?
