08/17 UA941 (LHR-EWR) scheduled for 4pm departure.

On 08/16 at 521pm UK time I got an email saying it's delayed to 6pm for "operational reasons". Then at 526pm UK time it got delayed further to 645pm for "operational reasons". The app has since updated that this is due to crew rest. Talk about skirting the 3 hour UK261 rule :-D Who knows when the flight will actually depart but the IROP created a free-for-all change ability to EWR or nearby airport up to a week out. I availed myself of the change and moved to a flight that was Y1B1.

Update: arrived 2h52m late. No UK261 comp for those whose destination was EWR. If you were connecting and missed the connection then you have a valid claim but UA most likely rebooked all of them way ahead of time to avoid this.
