Morning all, hope a kind person may be able to help. Trying to help a friend who was forced to cancel his PMI-NCE flight with Iberia this evening, flight in question is IB8230 leaving PMI tonight at 16:20. It's best a provide the full context so apologies for taking a while to get to the actual question!

He cancelled it on Thursday night following cancellation (due to Balearic storms) of his outbound EZY from NCE to PMI. EZY have refunded him the cost of his outbound and he is now using his travel insurance to seek reimbursement of what he paid for IB8230 that he had no choice but to cancel. His insurance (Amex Plat) are rightfully asking for a copy of the e-ticket receipt. He can't find his receipt anywhere in his email so has asked BA for a copy. He booked the IB flight via BA using Avios. The Avios element of his payment has already been refunded, so all he is claiming from insurance is the cash element since BA's "cancellation fee" of £70 has largely swallowed the money he is due back. I know this is not big money but I really want to try to help him with this.

Question: BA have told him on web chat that they cannot provide him with an e-ticket receipt because the flight was with Iberia. However the ticket numbers on the booking (two people travelling) both start with 125, which is surely a BA issued ticket? Does he need to press BA on this or start again and try to contact Iberia to get an e-ticket receipt? (He can't get a copy online because the booking is cancelled so the PNR is no longer recognised on the BA or IB system).
